Thursday, September 29th, 2011 – “Providing Excellent Customer Service”

Join us for an enlightening afternoon discussion about Providing Excellent Customer Service. Members of the Elkhart Chamber Education Council Training Committee will share how to communicate effectively with your customers and how your communication is perceived. Barriers to customer service and solutions to potential problems will be explored. In today’s world, we also face customer service challenges through social media.

Presenters: Jeff Dean, Director of Career Services and Instructor, Harrison College & Rachelle Shuff, Service Center Manager, Teacher’s Credit Union

Jeff Dean began his career in college administration in 1996 at Davenport University, where he earned a Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Marketing in 2008.  He earned his MBA in management while working at Indiana Institute of Technology. Currently, Jeff is the Director of Career Services for Harrison College and  teaches Career Development. He is an Adjunct instructor for Trine University, chairs the Education Council for the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, a board member of Individual Families in Transition,  and an active member of SHRM and the Michiana Human Resource Association.

Rachelle Shuff has been a Service Center Manager for Teachers Credit Union since 2008. She has dedicated her career to Customer Service including 10 years as a Marketing Manager and 3 years as a Service Manager.  In 2001, Rachelle earned a Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Marketing and Business Management  from the Indiana Institute of Technology. Rachelle is on the Elkhart Chamber of Commerce’s Education Council and is the  2012 Chair for the Ambassador Council and Women’s Council. She is active member on the Advisory Board at Harrison College.
